GAA Coaching Return on Investment.
Munster Council GAA has commisioned Repucon Conuslting to undertake a continuation of its previous return on investment research. The provincial wide review will assess the annual return on the GAA’s investment in the coaching infrastructure across the province. The study which started in 2011 provided the GAA with a dashboard of performance indicators from playing activity to parents’ value of coaching and GAA participation.
The previous study estimated over 2 million hours of player training and playing activity generated by Munster clubs annually with almost 3,000 weekly training sessions delivered by provincial clubs. The assessment included a range of data from parents’ perception of GAA participation, value of playing and training activity, second level students’ valuation of GAA activity and the measurement of club playing and training outputs per annum.
