The Ask

Repucon Consulting were commissioned to develop a Business Case for the creation of a regional athletics hub in Newcastlewest, Co. Limerick.  The athletics hub had been in planning and development for a number of years and required the securing of major capital grant investment through the Rural Regeneration Development Fund.

The Approach

A full Business Case programme of analysis was undertaken to establish the future impact of a regional athletics hub in Newcastlewest designed to address a significant gap in current sports facility provision in the region.  In addition to the Business Case analysis, a Business Plan was also developed to support the sustainable operation of regional athletics hub.  This included developing the user base profile and associated marketing and operational approaches.

The Outcome

The Business Case for the regional athletics hub was part of a successful submission to the Rural Regeneration Development Fund securing the required investment for the project to progress.
