Regional Tourism Development Plans

The Ask

Repucon Consulting have been engaged to prepare commercially focused regionally focused tourism Development Plans for a range of destinations across the Wild Atlantic Way, Ireland’s Ancient East and Dublin.  Most recently we have prepared plans for Dingle Peninsula, Dublin Docklands and the wider Ancient area of the Boyne Valley.  We have also developed Wild Atlantic Way Destination Gateway plans for Killarney and Limerick.

The Approach

Our approach to destination development involves a combination of methods to gain a thorough insight into the destinations, understand the destination ambition and establish the key projects that will unlock the potential of each destination.  Each plan is developed using a five year timeframe. We employ a mix of bespoke qualitative and quantitative research methodologies as every destination is unique.

The Outcome

The destination development plans represent an agreed roadmap for all tourism stakeholders.  Each plan incorporates international benchmarking, key development projects set against key target metrics.  Destination development plans are designed to provide a strategic focus aligned with a destination strengths based approach.
