The Ask
The development of a sport tourism activation strategy by ŠKODA as part of their international cycling sport tourism programme.
The Approach
The development of a destination led sport tourism series involving a number of the largest cycling events in Ireland, hosting Connemara, Clare and the Boyne Valley in addition to large scale events in Kerry.  These are operated under the auspices of our sister company Sport Tourism Ireland to deliver cycling experiences based on the ŠKODA long association with cycling as a sponsorship vehicle.  The process also involves engagement with destinations to profile their appeal from a sport tourism context to increase bed nights and dwell time in the areas linked to the events.
The Outcome
The delivery of the largest cycle sport tourism series in Ireland and part of the international ŠKODA cycling programme. Events are now recognised internationally as among the best cycle sportive events in Europe achieving international accolades.
