The Ask
Repucon Consulting were invited to undertake independent stakeholder research across a number of national tourism destinations. The stakeholder engagement was to develop a shared vision for tourism development within the destinations and the prioritisation of key projects designed to realise the key vision.
The Approach
A range of qualitative research methods were employed to agree on the collective vision identified in the original stakeholder workshop facilitated by Repucon Consulting. The outputs of the workshop were supplemented by indepth interviews and a review of existing documentation and plans aligned with ongoing stakeholder activity in the destinations.
The Outcome
The development of the Vision Documents enabled all tourism stakeholders to have a clear destination proposition supported with a clear pathway for projects designed to deliver the vision and reflecting the interdependencies between all stakeholders involved.
