The Ask
Repucon Consulting were commissioned by Cycling Ireland to develop a new Five Year Strategy for the governing body for cycling on the island of Ireland. The strategy represents the second delivery of the Cycling Ireland strategy by the principals of Repucon Consulting, having also completed the 2015 -2019 Strategic Plan for Cycling Ireland.

The consultation was also supplemented with a series of one on one interviews with a range of key stakeholders including Sport Ireland, Sport Northern Ireland, Institute of Irish Sport, Federation of Irish Sport, the Olympic Council of Ireland and the various government departments aligned with cycling development.
The Outcome
A new Five Year Strategic Plan was launched by Cycling Ireland in February 2020 with a new vision of Ireland – an island enriched through cycling guided by three key strategic development pillars.
