Repucon Consulting was commissioned to develop the business case for the development of the Great Southern Greenway as part of a submission for Rural Regeneration Development funds and Greenway funding.
A tourism investment business case was created based on consideration of a range of impacts including tourism, social and health impacts and the community benefits of the development of the Greenway as a local amenity. The business case assessed the development of the Greenway under a range of headings and a number of options. The business case assessed the Great Southern Greenway from commercial, strategic and economic value for money perspective, incorporating economic impact modelling, social impact and social return on investment.
The Great Southern Greenway business case was successfully employed in the application for Rural Regeneration Development funding with work now underway to develop key elements of the trail and the creation of a significant tourism and community resource.
