The Ask
Repucon Consulting were commissioned to undertake a new Tourism Strategic Plan for Boyne Valley Tourism.
The Approach
A wide range of research and consultation was undertaken to understand the current positioning of the Boyne Valley Tourism brand from the perspective of visitors, influencers such as members of the ITOA, Failte Ireland and a wide range of other agencies supporting tourism development. A visitor survey of 500 domestic and international visitors was undertaken to establish satisfaction with the destination, awareness of the main tourism proposition across the destination and visitor attitudes The approach also included an extensive programme of local consultation with the tourism industry, community groups and agencies.
The Outcome
The Boyne Valley Tourism Strategy was developed adopting a new experience development focus across the destination and also included a Five Year Destination Marketing Plan to guide future marketing activity to deliver a consistent destination brand message.
